Thoughts on AUTUMN TREASURES
These are treasures that I found in my yard last fall. The nest was under a tree that we planted years ago; it was probably blown out on a particularly windy day. The leaf is from that same tree. The red berries are actually rosehips from a rosebush that I decided not to deadhead all summer, just to see if these would grow. They all seem to tell the story that we share our yard with other creatures. We hope that we add harmony to the planet by creating places for them to live and food for them to eat. And in their ways, they make our lives richer as well.
