MORNING VELVET 24 x 19

Thoughts on MORNING VELVET...

Last summer's morning glories were just so wonderful that I had to paint them more than once!

There aren't very many flowers that are such a gorgeous, velvety blue, so it's a real treat to work with them.

And I love the spiral of the bud and the tendril on the right. They add a playful element that is really fun to paint!

A friend of mine sent me a very sweet email in which she said,

"I do have to say there is a quiet timeless element to the morning glories that is mesmerizing.

You have lifted the lowly morning glory to regal heights my dear!!!"

I couldn't ask for nicer praise for a painting!
