TRUE HEART 23 X 21

Thoughts on TRUE HEART

I seem to be doing a series of paintings with drapery!

And I absolutely love white and blue together, so this image was very compelling for me.

The swirls in the bowl remind me of the veining and texture in lily leaves

and the movements of them remind me of water. Blue is the "color" of

water and air so this image has a very tranquil feel for me.

You cannot see it in this digital image,

but the blue is layered with many transparent glazes so it has a lot of depth,

and the dark areas have some mystery to them.
