Thoughts on Celebration...
These fabulous tulips return to my garden each spring.
They bloom early and make me want to celebrate their striking colors
and the season and possibilities that they herald.
The vase reminds me of ice, which can still be around when these tulips emerge,
but the softness of the drapery with sunlight on it
is an echo of the gentleness of a lovely day that time of year.
