Thoughts on Grand Amaryllis...

Picotee is my favorite type of amaryllis.
I love the delicate red edge around each of the petals,
and I grew these just so I could have the joy of painting them.

Flowers become much more personal to me when I grow the plant and watch it bloom.
Amaryllis bulbs are rather rough and unattractive and
it’s hard to believe that such a perfect and stunning beauty could be waiting inside.
That idea fascinates me,
and reminds me of the relationship between body and soul.
