Thoughts on Wallflowers III...

The engaging little faces of pansies always make people smile.
I thought it would be fun to paint them
in the trompe l’oeil style of realism, so I was thinking about taping them to a wall.
While I was playing around with that idea I noticed some of the striped fabrics that I have in my studio,
and I thought that the pansies would be fun taped to a striped background,
sort of like musical notes on sheet music.
I liked these stripes because they are subtle and
are a great color for showing off the colors of these wonderful pansies!

This painting is on canvas that is gallery wrapped,
with a floater frame to protect the sides.
